There are 3 types of requirements you must meet to become an Uber Driver in Australia:
1) Basic Requirements – Essentially the Uber Driver Registration Requirements: Uber Driver Minimum Age and Australian Driver Licence Verification.
2) Required Uber Documents – What documents are needed to be submitted before you can start driving for Uber.
3) Uber Background Checks – This includes your Uber Police Check (National Crime Check or NCC) and Australian Driving Record Requirements.

Uber Driver Requirements
Here is a detailed list of the Uber Driver Requirements for Australia.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Age of 21 years
- Drive a vehicle that meets Uber’s Vehicle Requirements
- Hold a valid driver’s licence in your state or territory. You must have held this licence for at least 12 months (1 Year)
- Provide all basic documentation applicable to your state or territory
- Be listed as an insured driver for your Uber Vehicle of choice
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
- Full Valid Driver’s Licence
- Passport or birth certificate
- Proof of Vehicle Insurance in the state or territory you want to work in
- A Driver Profile Photo that meets Uber’s standards
- Any other additional documents required by your state or territory
UBER BACKGROUND CHECKS
Background checks as relevant for your state or territory will be required to be passed before becoming an Uber Driver Partner.
