The vehicle requirements for Uber Driver Partners are quite simple whether you’re driving for UberX, UberXL, Comfort or Premier. Each city has its own car requirements for Uber and all vehicles must be covered by compulsory third party (CTP) insurance and have at least third party property damage insurance. 

As a basis for the vehicle to be approved for Uber it must:

•   Pass the minimum Uber Car Age limit (<12 Years for UberX cars)
•   Be registered in the state or territory where you will be driving for Uber 
•   Have 4 doors with external handles
•   Seatbelts for all passengers (inc. driver)
•   Pass the relevant Car Inspection for Uber to ensure the Vehicle meets all safety standards (Pink Slip in NSW)
•   Satisfies all Uber Insurance Requirements
