Uber Driving Tip #1
Make sure to stay in a central, busy area when driving for Uber. This will allow you to receive frequent trip requests so that you can spend more time earning than waiting. Driving in City areas will also decrease the time it takes to travel to the passengers as it is a more densely populated area meaning riders will be at every corner!
My current main city that I drive in is the city of Sydney, Australia. The city of Sydney has a population of 5.3 million people and a very busy central business district (CBD) as well as hundreds of suburbs (658 to be exact!) Driving in a populated city like this presents plenty of opportunities with passengers constantly needing rides for work, leisure, events and much more. I like to hover near the centre and outskirts of the Sydney CBD when waiting for trips.
Most of the time because the city is so busy I’m constantly getting back to back trips with no wait time in between trips. When it does tend to get a bit more quiet my go to spots in the CBD are Haymarket, Town Hall, Camperdown, Potts Point, Surry Hills and Barangaroo/Darling Harbour amongst many other spots. If I happen to be taken just out of the city I find I get most trips near busy bars and pubs in Bondi Beach, Coogee, Randwick, Newtown, Enmore, Marrickville and North Sydney/Crows Nest. I highly recommend staying around these central areas if you want to get frequent trip requests and maximise your Uber Income by making sure you reduce your wait time between trips and time it takes to drive to your rider.
Goodluck and keep in touch guys!
