Frequently Asked Questions

How much money you make will vary week by week depending on how busy your city is, what city you drive in, what events are going on, the weather and other factors. I have been able to consistently make $1500 – $2000 driving only 5 days a week, 7-8 hours each day!

For drivers working 6-7 days a week (10 hours on average), that number is close to $2500-$3000.

Uber has a limit of 12 hours online the application in a 24 hour period. If you are online for 12 hours you must rest 8 hours before driving again. This is party of the road safety regulations.

Any business you run is going to have expenses but the good news is all expenses are tax deductible. Week by week I’ve been able to make a significant profit while still having plenty of money left for savings. Whoever tries to deter you from signing up for Uber has most likely not done their research or followed my ‘Uber Driving Tips’ to make some serious cash.

To sign up just click here or visit my home page and click the ‘SIGN UP HERE’ button. Signing up couldn’t be any easier, all you need to do is own or rent a car that meets Uber regulations, be 21 years or older and pass a few background checks.

All information in regards to signing up, including Driver and Car Requirement can be found on the ‘How To Get Started’ page.

When you receive a trip request you will see it pop up on your screen. Just simply tap on the trip request and it will show you how to get to your passenger. Follow the navigation to your passenger and once your passenger enters your vehicle, swipe the green Start trip tab to the right and start driving. Once you complete the trip, swipe the complete trip tab and rate the passenger.

Uber has an inbuilt navigation software and if you prefer to use a different nav you can select the ‘Waze Navigation App’ or ‘Google Maps’.

Uber has ensured the safety of all drivers by ensuring all trips are recorded in the application and all passengers must have an account to call for a trip request. Uber has a safety toolkit on the application where you can have your rides followed by a trusted nominee of your choice and also an emergency button which will notify the relevant authorities of any issues.

The Uber App to download for drivers is the ‘Uber Driver App’. You can find this on both the Apple and Android app store.

You most definitely can! There are a lot of options out there for Uber Drivers to rent a car from companies like Splend, finance a car through a dealership or even borrow a car from other Uber Driver’s willing to lend their vehicle. To get started with Splend click here.

All Uber Driver’s are individual sole traders and therefore need an Australian Business Number. You can registere for an ABN by clicking this link.

I firmly believe having a good Uber rating is very important to being successful on the platform and you should always aim to provide the best service to your passengers.

In my personal opinion Uber ratings of 4.85 and above indicate a very strong, experienced Uber Driver! You can boost your Uber ratings by checking out my ‘Uber Driving Tips‘.

The payment system for Uber is very simple. At the end of each week Uber will deposit your earnings into the bank account your registered when signing up.

If you wish to cash out your earnings instantly you can use the ‘Instant Pay’ feature on the Uber Driver App which gives you a maximum of 4 Cash Outs per day!
